At Home Fitness Apps To Get You Through The Coronavirus

With most major gyms being closed in North America, companies are accomodating members and the public with alternative workout routines. Here are some at-home workout programs that will help you through this period.

Pure Barre On Demand provides various low-impact workout programs. What's great about the app is there is minimal equipment involved. Their goal is to create a series of small controlled movements that use your own bodyweight to produce strong lean muscles without the bulk. You can choose from 5-minute to 60-minute classes. With over 140 classes and more content being added weekly, there are endless options at your disposal.

Short on time? The 7 Minute Workout App may be the right program for you. Their goal is to provide the maximum benefit in the shortest amount of time possible. The ability to workout out anywhere at any time with no equipment is one of the apps best-selling features. After you set your goals and fitness level, Seven will tailor a program according to your specifications. The app is $9.99 a month with a $59.99 annual membership.

Yoga Wake Up developed a new concept calling its program the "First-Ever Yoga Alarm Clock." The short audio-guided apps start with a gentle wake up from the bed. You have the option of listening to soothing instrumentals including tunes from artists such as Bob Marley, Prince, and Bon Iver. There's also a "bedtime meditation" option that will help you go to sleep while tracking your patterns from sundown to sunrise. The app costs $9.99 monthly, $34.99 for 6 months and $53.99 annually.

Looking for a workout app with a built-in meal planner? 8Fit is the best on the market. The win here is that the app is free. In addition to that, they provide 15 to 20-minute at-home workouts that require no special equipment. This also includes nutritional tips, guidelines and weekly meal planners with healthy recipes from nutritional experts. This app is highly rated with a 4.7-star rating in the App Store.

Beachbody, the company that brought you P90X, Hip-Hop Abs and many other programs are now streaming "Beachbody Kids" workout videos for free on Vimeo. These programs are led by popular fitness trainer Shaun. T with a variety of fun low-activity workouts that will help get your adolescents moving.
